Super Bowl weather

Explore the weather conditions on game day for the first 48 Super Bowls. The readings come from observation stations at the closest major airport to the Super Bowl venue and may differ from conditions at the actual stadium. The information was compiled by William Schmitz of The Southeast Regional Climate Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Two Super Bowls, in 1982 and 2006, had snow on game day, and the 2000 Super Bowl saw an ice storm that day. Sixteen of the 48 games have been played indoors.
